M.O.M. was established in 1991 in Salem, Oregon and is owned and operated by Conny Crisalli.

When Conny hostessed a candle party in her own home, she wanted a more personalized gift for a friend. That sleepless night she came up with an entire line of candle products with motives or printed words on them - thus motive votives.

Conny Crisalli is a cum laude graduate of California State University, Northridge and has a degree in Art. She has taught oil painting and was previously a graphic illustrator.
